As a Principal or Sr. Principal Integration and Test Engineer (Level 3 or 4) you will be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible as you perform integration and test engineer responsibilities for Launch Vehicles, at our Chandler, AZ facility. This position will be 100% on-site in Chandler.\n\nJob Responsibilities\n\nThe candidate will serve as an I\u0026T Principal or Senior Principal Lead Engineer for the GPI program requiring the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment. Daily responsibilities may require direct contact with launch vehicle flight hardware and mechanical and electrical ground support equipment. Specific duties may include:\n\n * Establish Space Systems system tools to be used for program execution\n\n * Leading/directing/performing hands-on mechanical integration and/or electrical testing at a systems level\n\n * Developing/maintaining procedures for the assembly and test of launch vehicle systems\n\n * Developing concept of operations for assembly and testing of vehicles\n\n * Incorporating hardware and/or software design changes\n\n * Documenting \u0026 dispositioning hardware discrepancies, pursuing root cause \u0026 corrective actions\n\n * Planning and scheduling day to day tasks\n\n * Constant and timely communication with other team members and leadership\n\n * Leading, training, tasking other engineers and team members\n\n * Transferring knowledge to less experienced I\u0026T engineers\n\n * Guiding, mentoring and training other team members, face-to-face, on a daily basis\n\n\n\n\nThis position may be filled at either a Level 3 or Level 4. \n\nBasic Qualifications for Level 3 (Principal):\n\n * Minimum Education / Experience: 5 Years with Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering; 3 Years with Master of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering\n\n * Candidate MUST possess or have the ability to obtain a U.S. Passport for travel\n\n * Candidate MUST possess an ACTIVE DoD Secret Level security clearance at time of application with the ability to obtain Top Secret\n\n * Experience with aerospace standards/guidelines\n\n * Experience with MES, or other digital work instruction platform\n\n * Experience working with operational hazards such as propulsive devices, pressurized systems, overhead lifting, and high voltage systems\n\n * Hands-on mechanical integration, electrical testing and diagnostic experience\n\n * Ability to travel: Travel expectation 10-20%\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for Level 4 (\u200bSr. Principal):\n\n * Minimum Education / Experience: 8 Years with Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering; 6 Years with Master of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering\n\n * Candidate MUST possess or have the ability to obtain a U.S. Passport for travel\n\n * Candidate MUST possess an ACTIVE DoD Secret Level security clearance at time of application with the ability to obtain Top Secret\n\n * Experience with aerospace standards/guidelines\n\n * Experience with MES, or other digital work instruction platform\n\n * Experience working with operational hazards such as propulsive devices, pressurized systems, overhead lifting, and high voltage systems\n\n * Hands-on mechanical integration, electrical testing and diagnostic experience\n\n * Ability to travel: Travel expectation 10-20%\n\n\n\n\nYour Distinct Strengths for Both Levels:\n\n * Ability to innovate and lead digital transformation efforts\n\n * Ability to lead out at solving problems and driving all tasks to completion\n\n * Ability to work at a fast pace, while multi-tasking, and still communicate effectively\n\n * Ability to work in a team environment, and lead small projects or teams\n\n * Strong written and verbal communication skills\n\n * Experience leading/training other engineers and/or team members\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Active DoD Top Secret Level security clearance\n\n * Former/current EE lead on other LV programs, or similar programs.\n\n * Experience with external customer interfacing including meetings, presentations \u0026 negotiations\n\n * Experience performing formal requirements decomposition and/or verification\n\n * Extensive experience with aerospace standards/guidelines\n\n * Extensive experience with MES, or other digital work instruction platform\n\n * Extensive experience working with operational hazards such as propulsive devices, pressurized systems, overhead lifting, and high voltage systems\n\n * Significant experience leading/training other engineers and/or team members\n\n * Two or more launch campaign experiences, preferably on multiple programs\n\n\n\n\nCurious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector? For more information on our Total Rewards package, please visit our Total Rewards site.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Total Rewards\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
