Andy Manchanda State Farm is seeking a professional, friendly, and motivated Receptionist / Customer Care Representative to join our growing agency team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, staying organized, and creating a positive first impression for customers. In addition to front desk and customer service responsibilities, this position will also support agency growth by asking thoughtful discovery questions, identifying customer needs, offering appropriate insurance options, and connecting qualified opportunities to the sales team. - Greet customers warmly in person and over the phone
- Answer incoming calls and direct customers to the appropriate team member
- Manage appointment scheduling, office communication, and daily front desk responsibilities
- Assist with customer inquiries, follow-up, and account updates
- Maintain accurate customer records and documentation
- Ask discovery questions to better understand customer needs
- Identify opportunities to offer additional insurance products and services
- Pivot qualified conversations to the sales team when appropriate
- Support customer retention through excellent service and timely follow-up
- Assist the team with administrative tasks, projects, and office support
- Learn State Farm products, systems, and customer service expectations
- Work toward obtaining required insurance licenses
Candidates must be able and willing to obtain the following licenses:
- Property & Casualty license
- Life & Health license
- Previous receptionist, customer service, administrative, or office experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused personality
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced office environment
- Comfortable asking questions and engaging in customer conversations
- Willingness to learn how to identify customer needs and offer solutions
- Comfortable supporting sales conversations and transferring opportunities to the sales team
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Dependable, punctual, coachable, and team-oriented
The ideal candidate is someone who can be the welcoming face and voice of the agency while also supporting growth. You do not need to be a high-pressure salesperson, but you should be comfortable having conversations, asking questions, identifying needs, and helping customers understand available options.
