Summary of Pos i ti o n

Performs semi‐skilled m a intenance o f the City’s faciliti e s and gro u n d s and provid e s landscaping services.

Organizational Re la tionships

1. R e ports to: Maintenance Su peri nt e n de nt

2. Directs: This is a non-supervisory position.

3. Other: Works with the g e neral p u blic a nd othe r City e mplo y ees and per f orms landscaping an d ma in tena n ce services. You must b e 18 years ol d to operate the equi p me n t necessary to perform the jo b.

Essential Duties

· Performs routine mai n te n ance, includ i ng cleani n g, mowing, and weed e a ting at park areas and other City‐owned f a cilities and prope r t i es.

· Performs setup an d t a ke dow n for special events.

· Performs other relat e d du t ie s as requested, directed, o r assigned.

Job Knowledge, Skills, an d Abilities

· Familiari t y with City a n d OSHA safety requirements.

· Knowledge o f MSDS for each c h emical used.

· Use o f proper safety equipment when performing tasks.

· Knowledge o f correctly using the following equipment: w ee d ea t e r, riding lawn mower, push mower, hedge trimmer, and c h ain saw.

· Ability to operate safely necessary equipment, including weed eaters, lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, an d chain saws.

· Ability to back up trailers and drive water trucks.

· Ability to use and wear all required personal protective equipment.

· Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, exposed to outside elements and objectionable materials.

· Must possess a current valid Arizona Driver’s License when hired.
