Field Marketing Coordinator

Our client, a leader in the cannabis industry, is seeking a talented and experienced Event Coordinator for a 3-month contract to lead the planning and execution of our future events. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with hands-on execution experience, adept at building relationships, and passionate about shaping the future of the cannabis industry.
This role is an in person role based out of our Scottsdale, AZ office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following but other duties may be assigned ):

  • Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events. (i.e. trade shows, social events, etc.)
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their event objectives and requirements.
  • Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and venues to ensure all event logistics are managed effectively.
  • Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring all aspects run smoothly.
  • Manage event staff and volunteers, providing clear instructions and support.
  • Handle any issues or emergencies that arise during events, ensuring a positive experience for attendees.
  • Evaluate event success and gather feedback to improve future events.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance event quality.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.

  • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring everyone is aligned with event goals.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in planning and executing events, ensuring no detail is overlooked.

  • Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best terms.
  • Customer Focus: Dedicated to understanding and meeting the needs of clients and attendees.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and handle unexpected challenges with ease.
  • Financial Acumen: Skilled in budgeting and financial management to ensure events are cost-effective.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
Compensation for this role will be based on experience, work location, and other factors. Candidates must be at least 21 years old. We are not sponsoring Visas at this time. Must be able to legally work in the United States. Candidates will need to provide documentation verifying identity and legal work authorization within 3 business days.
