Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Critical Care

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to critically ill patients
• Assess and manage patient conditions effectively
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
• Utilize advanced medical technology and equipment
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Stay current with best practices in critical care medicine
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans

Requirements

• MD degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Arizona
• Experience in critical care medicine is preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Commitment to continuous professional development

Schedule: 12-hour day and night shifts

Call: Occasional night call coverage

Multiple facility locations

Patient Census: Up to 30 per day

Procedures: Central lines, arterial lines, intubation, chest tubes, etc.

Support Staff: APPs, nurses, respiratory therapists, administrative staff, social workers

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
