Senior software engineer

Job Description

In this role, you will design and develop high-quality web and mobile applications, partnering closely with UI/UX designers and backend engineers to deliver seamless, user-centric experiences. You will integrate applications with backend systems, APIs, and third-party services, while ensuring optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness. Day to day, you'll identify and resolve bugs, address performance bottlenecks, and help maintain strong code quality, structure, and automation. You'll provide technical leadership through mentoring, architecture and code reviews, and by guiding adoption of CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices. You'll also stay current with emerging Web, UI/UX, and mobile technologies, driving continuous improvements to user experience, application performance, and development efficiency, while contributing to the enterprise mobile strategy and roadmap as needed.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing Retail eCommerce, web, and mobile applications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Expertise in cross-platform web and mobile development, including API-driven architectures

• Proficiency with modern frameworks such as React, React Native, TypeScript, Flutter, or similar

• Experience with state management (Redux, MobX, Context API)

• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Appium)

• Experience with CI/CD and build automation tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)

• Ability to work effectively in an Agile/SCRUM environment

• Experience integrating SOAP and REST APIs

• Strong knowledge of source control and change management best practices

• Excellent analytical, design, and problem-solving skills within a modern mobile tech stack

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Highly organized and self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
