Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Ahwatukee, AZ
Hours & Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Work Environment: Neurology Clinic
Travel Required: No
Salary / Hourly Rate: $18–$25/hour DOE

Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant supports physicians and clinical staff through both administrative and hands-on patient care tasks. This position plays a key role in facilitating smooth patient flow, preparing clinical spaces, and delivering high-quality care in a busy neurology practice.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet and room patients, take vital signs, and maintain efficient patient flow
- Assist with procedures including injections, blood draws, and EMG setup
- Manage appointment scheduling, phone calls, prescription refills, and prior authorizations
- Communicate with external healthcare providers, testing labs, and facilities
- Maintain and organize exam rooms, stock supplies, and order as needed
- Process urine drug screens and handle clinical equipment (autoclave, centrifuge)
- Collect and prepare lab specimens (urine, blood, spinal fluid, body tissue)
- Accurately chart patient data and coordinate result letters
Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of Medical Assistant Program
- Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
- AED Certification (Preferred)
- 1 year of experience with vital signs (Preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Professional handling of confidential information
