Essential Functions and Responsibility
- Patrol and Inspect Premises: conduct regular foot of assigned areas to detect and deter criminal activity, vandalism, and unauthorized activity.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly to disturbances, threats, or emergencies; engage with offenders if necessary, using firearms only in extreme duress after non-violent options have been exhausted.
- Law Enforcement Liaison: Communicate with local police, fire, and EMS; provide incident reports and coordinate with authorities.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed daily reports on patrols, incidents, equipment checks, and notable observations to include photos and video.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure firearms, detection devices, and security gear are in proper working order.
- Community Engagement: Interact professionally with residents and visitors to de-escalate tensions and maintain order.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and report potential security threats; recommend preventive measures to leadership.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years in security or law enforcement; prior experience in a high-end retail environment (preferred)
- Valid firearms permit; current Arizona Security Guard License; knowledge of local laws and regulations. SGPI Licensing | Department of Public Safety
- Must be able to carry out instructions furnished in English written or oral form as well as speak and comprehend English without translation.
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in high-stress situations; discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Must be neat, well-groomed and have professional appearance.
- Able to meet any special qualifications set forth in post orders or other relevant protocols and directives.
- Ability to stand and walk up to 10-hours, lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

The role will be posted just inside The Eye Lab (14700 N Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260), Tuesday through Saturdays. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available for this post.

Compensation
The role begins at $21.00/ hourly DOE and availability.
