Data Migration Validation Analyst

Job Summary:

The Senior Data Migration Validation Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of data throughout a complex migration process from a legacy Mainframe system to Salesforce CRM via a SQL staging database. This role requires expertise in data reconciliation, validation, and defect triage to maintain flawless data transformation and relational mapping in a hybrid environment. Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end data reconciliation across all migration stages, validating record counts, hash totals, and financial/statistical summaries.
• Review and verify source-to-target mapping documents and implement complex SQL scripts to confirm data transformation logic and data type accuracy.
• Validate Salesforce target data integrity using SOQL, Data Loader, and Workbench, ensuring relational integrity and correct object schema implementation.
• Identify, document, and track data anomalies such as encoding issues, orphaned records, and constraint violations.
• Collaborate with ETL and Salesforce developers to resolve data defects and ensure seamless data migration.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Advanced SQL skills including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and data profiling.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce data architecture, SOQL, and data loading tools.
• Experience with legacy data formats, including fixed-width flat files and EBCDIC-to-ASCII conversions.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation tools such as Python (Pandas) or advanced Excel/Power Query for cross-system data comparisons.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in SQL Server, Salesforce Service Cloud, and data conversion testing/validation.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with Artificial Intelligence applications in data validation.
• Additional expertise in legacy data systems and automation scripting.

Special Considerations:

• Hybrid work location based in Phoenix, AZ.
• In-person interview required.
• Contract role with a 6-month duration and possibility of extension.
