About the Role:
The Senior Group Sales Manager will lead and oversee the group sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market presence across the United States. This role is pivotal in a high-performing sales team, developing key client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities within the group sales segment. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with marketing, operations, and executive leadership to align sales initiatives with overall company goals. They will be responsible for forecasting sales performance, analyzing market trends, and implementing innovative sales tactics to maximize profitability. Ultimately, this position ensures the delivery of exceptional client experiences while achieving ambitious sales targets and fostering long-term partnerships.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or equitable related field experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management, with at least 3 years in group sales or a related area.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Strong leadership experience managing and developing sales teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the hospitality, event management, or travel industries.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale corporate accounts and complex sales cycles.
- Professional certifications in sales or leadership (e.g., Certified Sales Leader, CSP).
- Proficiency in Marriott Sales Systems
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive group sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals to optimize performance and professional growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and event planners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing and operations to create cohesive sales campaigns and seamless client experiences.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for expansion and improvement.
- Prepare detailed sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior leadership.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to maximize profitability while maintaining client satisfaction.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility.
