- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Industrial Engineering or similar experience (Production/Manufacturing Engineering).
- Typically 5+ years of experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will support a collaborative environment with multi-disciplinary teams that take pride in developing, integrating, testing, and delivering innovative solutions. This team plays a critical role in designing, stabilizing, improving, and transforming production systems to achieve world-class operational excellence for some of the world’s most sophisticated aircraft and defense platforms. Duties may include (but are not limited to):- Apply industrial engineering concepts, approaches, and techniques to products, processes, and services.
- Develop plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, and workflow sequencing.
- Design, maintain, and optimize production systems by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
- Conduct workflow analysis; develop models, databases, and spreadsheets for data analysis and metrics.
- Research, design, and implement process improvements to enhance schedule performance, reduce cost, and improve quality.
- Support execution planning using project management, scheduling, and shop load practices.
- Provide production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility, and recovery planning support.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety, design standards, and ergonomic guidelines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with low-volume assembly on large-scale platforms (rotorcraft, military aircraft, or similar).
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma.
- Discrete Event Simulation Software (Simio, ProModel).
- Constraint-Based Scheduling Software (Aurora, MS Project).
- Job Scheduling and Sequencing.
- NX/Unigraphics or other 3D CAD tools.
- APQP and PFMEA.
- Teamcenter tools (PDM, Process Simulate, Manufacturing Process Planner).
