Position Overview:
Courtesy Chevrolet's Recon Center is seeking a Used Car Mechanic/Lube Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for providing efficient and high-quality vehicle maintenance services. The ideal candidate will have previous experience at an automotive dealership, a strong understanding of the service drive, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following below, as well as other responsibilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform work specified on Repair Orders
- Test drive vehicles, components and systems
- Diagnose, maintain, and perform repairs
- Check and Communicate Oil Level: Inspect and communicate oil levels to teammates.
- Ensure Tire Pressure: Verify and adjust tire pressure for proper inflation.
- Inspect and Refill Fluid Levels: Conduct refills as necessary.
- Complete Vehicle Inspection: Perform thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues.
- Oil Drain Plug and Filter Installation: Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter during oil change procedures.
- Clean and Lubricate Fittings: Clean and lubricate fittings as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, prioritizing our customer’s perspective.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience at an automotive dealership.
- Strong understanding of the service drive.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Basic computer competencies.
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check.
