Position Overview:

Courtesy Chevrolet's Recon Center is seeking a Used Car Mechanic/Lube Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for providing efficient and high-quality vehicle maintenance services. The ideal candidate will have previous experience at an automotive dealership, a strong understanding of the service drive, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following below, as well as other responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on Repair Orders
• Test drive vehicles, components and systems
• Diagnose, maintain, and perform repairs
• Check and Communicate Oil Level: Inspect and communicate oil levels to teammates.
• Ensure Tire Pressure: Verify and adjust tire pressure for proper inflation.
• Inspect and Refill Fluid Levels: Conduct refills as necessary.
• Complete Vehicle Inspection: Perform thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues.
• Oil Drain Plug and Filter Installation: Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter during oil change procedures.
• Clean and Lubricate Fittings: Clean and lubricate fittings as needed to ensure optimal performance.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, prioritizing our customer’s perspective.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience at an automotive dealership.
• Strong understanding of the service drive.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check.
