SYSTEMS ENGINEER SENIOR

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Federated Lab Systems Engineer Senior, you will support the design, development engineering, integration, and technical operational support to employ specified non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), virtualization environments.

• Operate and maintain the Fed Lab assets in support of the testing and evaluation of systems used by the Army Network Command (NETCOM).
• Provide the following support to the Federated Lab infrastructure:

• Install, configure and manage a highly available and scalable virtual infrastructure.
• Provide planning, installing, configuring, and upgrading support for vCenter Server and VMware ESXi cluster using version 8.x.
• Manage and allocate virtual hardware to virtual machines including right-sizing CPU and memory to support lab tenants project's needs.
• Develop plans for configuring, deploying, and administering virtual machines and Virtual Applications.
• Establish and maintain service levels; perform troubleshooting; monitor vSphere implementations and vCenter server alarms.
• Apply/implement IAVMs, STIGs, bug fixes, security patches/controls, and access controls across multiple platforms.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 5+ years of related virtualization experience
• Qualifications/Certifications: DoD 8570.1-M certification: IAT Level III
• Required Technical Skills: Provide planning, design, development, engineering, integration, and technical and operational support to the ADCNOMS project on Virtual platform, Virtual OS, Virtual application VMware Hypervisor, Virtual storage.
• Security clearance level: Secret

• Required Skills and Abilities: Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of Microsoft Visio

• Preferred Skills: VMware/Broadcom Virtualization knowledge.
• Location: Customer Site
