Our established dental practice seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including chairside assistance, taking dental x-rays, and cleaning instruments. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

1. Assist dentists and hygienists during dental procedures, providing efficient and professional chairside support.

2. Take dental x-rays and process digital images as directed by the dentist.

3. Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.

4. Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about the procedure.

5. Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-operative care instructions.

6. Maintain accurate patient records, including updating medical histories and documenting treatment plans.

7. Provide excellent customer service, answering patient inquiries, and scheduling appointments.

8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety regulations.

Qualifications

1. Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent work experience (current or aspiring dental assistants are welcome to apply).

2. Current certification in dental radiography, as required by state regulations.

3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

4. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively.

5. Ability to provide compassionate care, ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction.

6. Willingness to learn and grow within the dental field.
