Founded 50+ years ago, we are an established, full-service accounting and consulting firm. The firm offers services in audit, tax, advisory, HR, and payroll, with a strong focus on customized strategies and client partnership. Our team works with private companies, nonprofits, government entities, and high-net-worth individuals. We are growing and looking to add a Senior Associate to the mixture.
Position OverviewThe Senior Associate will play a vital role in supporting the firm's financial strategies and operations, providing expert insight in accounting, tax, and compliance across various sectors including real estate and construction. This position is designed for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in finance and accounting who can work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to deliver superior results. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Provide tax planning and compliance services for various clients
- Conduct audits and support assurance engagements for real estate and construction projects
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and create reports
- Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions
- Support the Senior Management in strategic planning and financial forecasting
- Mentor and train junior associates, providing guidance on best practices and methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification preferred, not required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or a related field
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance
- Experience in real estate, construction and/or manufacturing accounting is a plus
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
