Job Title: Project Assistant
Location: Chandler, AZ
Employment Type: Temp to perm, 9-12 months contract initially

Compensation: $36-42/hr, depending on experience level
Schedule: 40 hours per week, M-F

Position Summary:
The Project Assistant coordinates and supports the execution of project activities for a single project team, ensuring alignment with established processes and defined objectives. Works under general guidance to assist with planning, resource coordination, and communication across stakeholders while contributing to successful project delivery. This role also supports project governance, reporting, and continuous improvement through risk management and lessons learned.

About the Opportunity:

• Coordinates the project activities of one project team.
• May lead a small project focused on execution of clearly structured project steps and activities which are carried out based on established processes and methods.
• Works under general guidance of the Project Lead or more senior colleagues.
• Has basic, general theoretical knowledge of analytical methods, techniques and procedures with regards to project coordination, planning and budgeting.

What You'll Do:

Responsibilities

Project Plan

• Creates the project plan and required resources, clarifies role and involvement level of team members, acquires approval and acceptance.
• Contributes information and analysis to support the specification of project deliverables.

Project Initiation

• Understands the identified business needs regarding the project scope and objectives.

Project Execution

• Coordinates the project team; communicates the outcomes needed, coordinates team activities on project tasks; escalates to Project Lead when necessary.

Project Closure

• Identifies lessons learned, archives project documents and hands over the project to the Project Lead, internal customer and/or line management.

Relations Management

• Builds and maintains a network of internal stakeholders / partners to ensure productive working relationships.

Governance

• Monitors project compliance with client's project management framework and processes.

Project Information

• Drafts standard project review reports and presentations and recommendations to support the review process.

Risk Management

• Identifies and reviews problems and risks in the project and proposes adjustments to the Project Lead.

People Development

• Informs project team members about client project management standards and processes.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a project coordinator or project assistant

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Has some work experience in specific Project Management roles and project delivery.
• Has good knowledge of competence or technical area managed and awareness of the business issues.
