General Manager - Residential Home Services

As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of operations and sales while maintaining complete financial oversight. You will develop the teams, manage client relationships, execute strategies, and build a scalable organization that drives culture alignment, operational excellence, and sustained profitability.

Operations

  • Optimize Performance & Profitability – Drive operational excellence through implementation of best practices, KPIs, and scalable processes that support both organic growth and acquisition integration
  • Strategic Planning & Execution – Develop and implement comprehensive strategic and tactical plans to enhance service offerings, team performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction while maximizing revenue and profitability
  • Process Improvement – Design and deploy scalable systems, procedures, and workflows that improve operational efficiency and support rapid growth
  • Technical Leadership – Apply extensive residential HVAC expertise to mentor teams, ensure service quality, and maintain competitive advantage through technical excellence
  • Stakeholder Management – Build and maintain strong professional relationships with vendors, suppliers, and key stakeholders to support operational objectives
  • Safety & Compliance – Conduct regular site inspections and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and internal policies across all operations

Business Development & Sales

  • Revenue Growth – Manage the sales team to drive profitable revenue expansion through new customer acquisition, enhanced customer satisfaction, and improved retention strategies
  • Sales Strategy & Execution – Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies while directly managing and coaching the sales team to exceed new business development targets
  • Proposal Management – Oversee the creation of accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates and proposals that win business while maintaining healthy margins
  • Market Intelligence – Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities, customer needs, industry trends, and potential challenges, developing actionable strategies to capitalize on insights

Leadership & Team Development

  • Team Building – Recruit, hire, train, and retain top talent to build high-performing, results-driven teams with an ownership mentality focused on quality, safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction
  • Mentorship & Development – Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to maximize each team member’s contribution and potential while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Cultural Leadership – Champion company values and drive cultural alignment across all teams and departments

Financial Management

  • P&L Ownership – Achieve and exceed targeted financial performance metrics while delivering consistent, profitable annual revenue growth
  • Sales Cycle Management – Own the complete sales process from market development and lead generation through proposal delivery and client relationship management
  • Budget & Resource Management – Manage budgets, financial reporting, project schedules, material procurement, and labor allocation while tracking performance metrics and implementing corrective actions to optimize revenue and profitability

Experience & Background
Minimum 5 years of senior operations leadership experience with full P&L responsibility for businesses generating $10M+ in annual revenue
Strong industry background in residential services that includes HVAC or closely related fields
Demonstrated experience in both organic growth environments and acquisition integration
