JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Senior Creative Designer | Location: Remote | Type: Full Time, Salaried

Opportunity Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Creative Designer to join our team full-time and bring fresh energy, sharp instincts, and exceptional visual storytelling skills to our growing creative department. This role will work closely with the Creative Director and project managers to design marketing assets that align with brand standards and drive results. This is a high-ownership position for a designer who can think strategically, translate marketing objectives into compelling visual narratives, and set a high bar for creative output.

The ideal candidate brings strong creative instincts, confidence in presenting ideas, and the ability to both execute and guide other designers. You’ll have the opportunity to influence creative decisions early in the process and help evolve our visual standards and internal systems. You need to be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, embracing our positive, optimistic culture to contribute fresh ideas and build strong team dynamics. Balancing creative vision with attention to detail, and a strong understanding of current design trends, digital platforms, and production best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Concept, design, and execute creative assets across multiple platforms (social, web, email design/coding, print, branding/logo)

  • Translate strategy and brand messaging into visual solutions that are clear, compelling, and aligned with client objectives

  • Own creative direction for assigned clients and campaigns with minimal oversight

  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines across campaigns and clients

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and project managers to ensure the timely delivery of assets

  • Provide thoughtful, creative input and feedback in brainstorms, team meetings, and client reviews

  • Present design concepts clearly and confidently to internal teams and occasionally to clients

  • Review and provide feedback on design work from other team members when needed

  • Contribute to pitch decks, case studies, proposal visuals, and high-level creative presentations

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, tools, and competitor visuals

  • Bring fresh inspiration, trend awareness, and new creative frameworks to the team

  • Help improve creative processes, templates, and production efficiencies

  • Balance speed, quality, and strategic thinking in a fast-moving environment

  • Being curious and going the extra mile for both our team and clients

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional design experience (agency or high-volume marketing environment preferred)

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign development, branding, and creative ownership at a senior level

  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, and Figma

  • Experience designing for social media, paid ads, digital marketing campaigns, and related platforms

  • Strong typography, layout, and branding skills

  • Basic motion design or video editing skills are a plus (Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro)

  • Proven ability to lead creative direction and execute with ownership and accountability

  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence in presenting design decisions to non-design stakeholders and giving/receiving feedback in a collaborative environment

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: Competitive Full-Time Salary, based on experience.

  • Paid Holidays: 6 paid holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrues semi-monthly at a rate of 10 days/year.

  • Mental Health/Work-Life Balance Support: Access to mental health resources, including a Master Certified Life Coach for personal and professional development, monthly group coaching sessions, and a flexible work schedule.

Acknowledgment and Application

If you accept this role, you acknowledge and agree to the responsibilities, expectations, and values outlined above, and commit to upholding the mission and culture of McIvor Marketing.
