Application Developer Java

**CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer Java opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.** **Location:** Phoenix, AZ **Duration:** 12 months **Duties:** + Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements. + Implement backend services using Spring Boot and Vert.x frameworks. + Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices. + Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications. + Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. + Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability. + Document application design, technical specifications, and procedures. **Skills:** + Proficiency in Java development and object-oriented programming. + Strong experience with **Spring Boot** for building RESTful web services. + Hands-on experience with **Vert.x** or similar reactive frameworks. + Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). + Understanding of Agile development methodologies. + Experience with source control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines. + Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL. **Experience:** + Minimum of 3-5 years of professional Java development experience. + Experience developing and maintaining enterprise-level applications using Spring Boot and Vert.x. + Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred. **Education:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
