Financial Counselor - Remote
We are seeking a Remote Financial Counselor to help patients understand their insurance coverage and financial responsibility before appointments. This role is responsible for providing cost estimates, verifying insurance benefits, securing pre-service payments, and assisting with payment arrangements while delivering excellent customer service.
Compensation:$20-$23 Per Hour
Key Responsibilities:
Provide patients with accurate cost estimates before appointments
Verify insurance eligibility and coverage
Explain out-of-pocket expenses and financial assistance options
Maintain accurate patient account documentation in EHR systems
Collaborate with billing, clinical, and administrative teams
Resolve billing questions in a professional and timely manner
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
1+ years of healthcare customer service experience preferred
Experience with EHR or billing systems preferred
Strong communication and computer skills
Ability to discuss sensitive financial matters with professionalism
