Clinical Director – Behavioral Health
Mesa, Arizona
Full-Time | Leadership Opportunity
A mission-driven behavioral health organization is seeking an experienced Clinical Director to lead clinical operations at a high-acuity crisis and behavioral health program in the Mesa area. This is an opportunity for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about supporting vulnerable populations, mentoring teams, and driving quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in behavioral health leadership, enjoys building strong clinical teams, and can balance operational oversight with hands-on support when needed.
What You’ll Do
Provide clinical leadership and oversight across behavioral health programs and services
Supervise, mentor, and support licensed and unlicensed clinical staff
Ensure compliance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and internal clinical policies
Partner closely with operational leadership to improve patient outcomes and program effectiveness
Assist with crisis intervention support and complex case consultation
Lead staff development initiatives, coaching, and performance management
Monitor documentation quality, clinical workflows, and program metrics
Support hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts within the clinical team
Foster a collaborative, mission-focused culture centered around patient care and accountability
What We’re Looking For
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral health field
Active Arizona independent licensure preferred:
LCSW
LPC
LMFT
Or independently licensed equivalent
Strong leadership background within behavioral health, crisis services, inpatient psych, substance use, or community mental health
Experience supervising clinical teams and supporting high-acuity patient populations
Ability to lead in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
