Key Qualifications:
- Valid special education teaching certification
- Experience working with middle school students in special education settings
- Strong grasp of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage a resource room classroom and adapt lessons for a variety of learning styles
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction in a middle school resource setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support students’ behavioral, social, and academic growth
- Use evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations to address unique learning challenges
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings, pediatric assessments, and progress reviews
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that empowers students to succeed
