Staff Auditor

Established and growing East Valley CPA firm with a long history seeks a Staff Auditor to join our team. Our firm is committed to delivering high-quality audit, tax, and advisory services with a focus on businesses and non-profit organizations.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Auditor to join our assurance team. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a strong foundation in public accounting. The Staff Auditor will assist in planning and executing audits, reviews, and compilations for a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in audit engagements from planning to completion under the supervision of senior staff.
• Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures on financial statements.
• Document audit findings and prepare workpapers in accordance with firm and professional standards.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and related disclosures.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and resolve issues.
• Stay current on accounting and auditing standards and apply them appropriately.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and support firm initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s or CPA eligibility preferred)
• 1–3 years of audit experience (internships or prior public accounting experience a plus)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and auditing principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, CaseWare, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
