Pharmacist Opportunity Per Diem, Tucson, AZ

Seeking experienced pharmacists to form a dependable per diem team to support retail pharmacy operations. This role is ideal for professionals seeking part-time, flexible work within a collaborative environment. Our client requires 2-3 pharmacists to provide coverage for call-outs, vacations, and volume spikes across multiple pharmacy locations.

Location:

• Tucson, Arizona area

Schedule:

• Pharmacy hours: Monday through Saturday, approximately 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (some locations until 8:00 PM)
• Part-time shifts, typically 2-4 days per week
• Shifts are on an as-needed basis; hours cannot be guaranteed

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment averaging 100-125 prescriptions per day
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians; some smaller sites may require the pharmacist to operate independently without technician support
• Participate in comprehensive training sessions to become proficient with QS1 pharmacy software and specific pharmacy protocols
• Provide immunizations, adhering to state regulations and maintaining immunization privileges
• Maintain a valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification to ensure patient safety

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and prescription processing
• Immunization privileges and current BLS certification required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to undergo initial and ongoing training to support pharmacist-only sites and high-volume pharmacies

Training:

• One dedicated 8-hour training shift provided initially, with additional training opportunities available as needed
