Position Title: Revenue Accountant

Department: Accounting

Reports to: Corporate Controller

✨ Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong Revenue Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This pivotal role will oversee the company’s revenue recognition in alignment with ASC 606 , lease accounting under ASC 842 , and the factoring of receivables tied to complex sales contracts.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience , including time in public accounting , and demonstrates a strong command of U.S. GAAP , especially revenue and lease-related standards. Experience in the manufacturing industry is a significant plus.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Execute revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 , including contract analysis, identifying performance obligations, and determining revenue timing and amounts.

• Manage accounting and disclosures for leases under ASC 842 , including operational and embedded leases.

• Oversee accounting for factored receivables , ensuring accurate derecognition and disclosure.

• Analyze complex customer contracts to assess and apply correct accounting treatment.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure accurate revenue treatment from contract to execution.

• Assist in the month-end close process, including revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Support external audits , including preparation of documentation and responses to audit inquiries.

• Lead ongoing improvements in revenue and lease accounting processes, internal controls, and related systems.

• Contribute to ad hoc initiatives such as system implementations , policy updates, and automation projects .

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree a plus

• CPA license or actively pursuing certification strongly preferred

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience , with at least 1–2 years in public accounting

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP , especially ASC 606 and ASC 842

• Experience with factoring receivables and related financial statement impact

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex contracts and standards

• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite , Salesforce, Anaplan) and advanced Excel skills

• Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach

• Prior manufacturing industry experience is a plus
