Kennel Technician/Front Desk
We are seeking an applicant who loves animals, has experience working with dogs & cats and strives for excellence. a qualified applicant has the ability to prioritize, excels within a team environment, takes initiative to assist others and practices continual improvement. Our ideal applicant is goal-orientated, punctual, dependable and available to work weekends/holidays.
Fundamental Duties:
- Conduct pet welfare checks
- Administer medication
- Maintain cleanliness of facility and perform routine maintenance
- Answer telephones in a courteous & professional manner
- Handle cash
- Check forms for accuracy & content
- Exemplify exceptional customer service
- Separate pets according to established guidelines, i.e., health, demeanor, etc.
- Promote company products
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Have basic knowledge of Microsoft software
- Use general principles of animal care
- Use methods and procedures of kennel cleaning & maintenance
- Understand and participate in safe work practices
- Operate cleaning equipment necessary for facility maintenance
- Establish, maintain and foster a positive and harmonious work culture
Requirements:
- 1 year experience caring for dogs and cats
- High School Diploma or General Education Certificate
- Flexible Schedule
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
