About the Role
As a Relationship Care Coordinator (RCC)/Business Coordinator (BC) in our practice, you will be the heart of our patient experience. You'll be the first voice patients hear, the welcoming face in the office, and the key team member who keeps our hygiene schedule running smoothly. Your role is critical to our mission of delivering patient-centered care and helping our practice continue to thrive in our community.
In this position, you will play a direct role in helping patients feel at ease, understand their care, and stay on track with their oral health. You'll be part of a supportive team that values growth, integrity, and going above and beyond for every patient.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the hygiene schedule, ensuring it reflects our patient care and practice goals.
- Welcome new patients, build trust, and help them feel comfortable from the start
- Present and explain hygiene and periodontal treatment plans; support patients in understanding their options
- Review insurance plans and estimate patient out-of-pocket expenses
- Submit insurance claims and manage patient accounts
- Track key hygiene department vital signs and share updates in team meetings
- Follow up with patients who haven't responded to reminders and fill schedule openings
- Intake emergency patients and coordinate care
- Support the Office Manager with financial coordination and other administrative needs
- Contribute to our daily, weekly, and monthly hygiene meetings
What We're Looking For
- Dental administrative experience is required
- A genuine, patient-centered communicator who builds rapport and trust
- Organized and proactive, with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable with dental software (Dentrix preferred), Word, and Excel
- Able to multitask, set priorities, and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable and motivated to solve problems as they arise
- High school diploma or equivalent required
