• Prior experience with electrical assembly involving large equipment (such as trucks, trains, aircraft, etc.)
• Ability to pass skills test on basic use of wire crimping and electrical tools.
• Understanding of manufacturing safety (complying with PPE requirements such as steel toe boots.)
• Strong desire to be part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs and climb a ladder onto the top of a passenger train car, and bend and carry large materials through narrow spaces.
• Must have Industrial Forklift experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide variety of routine installation functions in one or more of the following areas:
• Electronic or electro-mechanical operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies in an “Out Shop” environment (think construction site, not assembly line.)
• Set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits using multi-meters and other electrical test tools, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Installation equipment operation (could involve running wires, building harnesses, using power tools, crimping wires, etc.)
• Performs incoming, raw material and final mfg. inspection and/or audits of quality control programs.
• Assist with routine repair and retest products.
• May assist with rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
• Assist in resolving routine manufacturing related problems affecting daily operations.
