- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and a positive attitude, establishing a friendly first impression.
- Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow.
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or restaurant offerings.
- Maintain an organized waiting area and communicate wait times clearly and accurately to guests.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating arrangements and timely service.
- Handle guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing information about reservations or restaurant policies.
- Assist in guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring every visitor feels valued and appreciated.
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is a plus, highlighting guest services expertise.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of serving protocols, hotel guest relations, and phone etiquette enhances guest interactions.
