As a Junior MES Developer, you’ll support the design, development, and implementation of MES solutions that bridge the gap between enterprise systems and shop floor operations. You’ll work closely with senior engineers to collect machine data, develop new solutions and build backend reporting tools that improve manufacturing efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of applications by writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Work with the development team to design solutions to meet the business requirements.
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, and various other support groups to determine design, modeling, and script requirements.
- Identifying opportunities for improvements in existing MES processes, modeling, documentation, and training to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Act as the primary escalation point for site issues and ensure prompt resolution
- Willingness to work on-site and adapt to the dynamic needs of a manufacturing setup.
Qualifications:
- Experience with MES systems (Rockwell FPTC, Camstar, Siemens Opcenter, etc).
- Experience with Object oriented programming languages like Java or C#.
- Experience of database management systems (SQL, Oracle).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Technical understanding of Web Services technologies including REST, SOAP, WSDL
Nice to Have:
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Familiar with PLC communication protocols.
MES-related certifications (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Camstar) are a plus.
Database certifications (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle) and/or programming certifications (Java SE, Microsoft C#)
