General Manager - Luxury Residential Sector

The Role
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operational, financial, and strategic aspects of the branch, with full P&L accountability. Acting as a change agent, the GM will implement more efficient, profit-focused processes while maintaining the company’s reputation for quality and client service. Success in this role will mean expanded market share, stronger client partnerships, and a cohesive, motivated team culture. The role requires close collaboration with design, project management, and maintenance teams, and reports directly to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Drive business growth by developing and executing strategies to expand market share in luxury residential landscaping.
- Cultivate strong relationships with builders, architects, and referral sources to generate new opportunities.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance with full P&L responsibility.
- Implement modern systems, technologies, and processes to streamline project execution and enhance profitability.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high-end clients, acting as a trusted partner and brand ambassador.
- Identify new service offerings and market opportunities, integrating innovative and sustainable practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in construction, landscaping, or related design-build industries.
- Proven track record of overseeing operations with P&L responsibility in a multi-million-dollar setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to foster cultural transformation and team development.
- Deep understanding of high-end residential markets and client expectations.
- Strategic business development skills, including relationship-building and marketing/social media familiarity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Horticulture, or related field preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience introducing new technologies and process improvements to enhance profitability and client experience.
- Familiarity with luxury or upscale service industries.
Salary
Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience.
Location
Phoenix Metropolitan Area. On-site leadership required with some flexibility for hybrid working arrangements.
