Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based

  • Phoenix, Arizona
  • 10-Month School-Year Schedule | June & July Off

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative SLP to join a school-based team supporting K–12 students with developmental disabilities in the Phoenix area. Position Overview

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide direct and consultative speech and language services to students in both classroom and small-group settings. You will collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families to develop communication strategies that help students thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to K–12 students
  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Write evaluation reports and contribute to IEP development
  • Program, monitor, and maintain AAC devices and communication systems
  • Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and families to support student goals
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Complete Medicaid billing and required service records
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Promote functional communication skills that enhance independence and classroom participation

Qualifications

Required

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Arizona Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Arizona Department of Education Certificate
  • Ability to obtain an AHCCCS Provider Number and NPI for Medicaid billing
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Preferred

  • Arizona Hearing Screening Certificate
  • Experience working with AAC devices and communication systems
  • Experience supporting students with developmental disabilities
