Work Location: In Person – Safford, Arizona
Pay: $65,000 – $85,000 (salary based on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Senior Heavy Equipment Technician with fixed plant or mobile heavy equipment experience to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing and overhaul of hydraulic systems, industrial equipment, rotating machinery, and other industrial/fixed plant assets within our hydraulic distribution and repair facility.
The successful candidate will perform precision mechanical work involving hydraulic systems, liner handlers, rock hammers, compressors, gearboxes, valves, piping systems, and other support equipment while ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational standards. You will collaborate with various departments to schedule and allocate resources effectively.
Responsibilities include:
Mechanical Maintenance & Repair
- Install, maintain, align, dismantle, and repair industrial machinery.
- Perform preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and corrective maintenance activities on mechanical systems and industrial/mobile assets.
- Conduct alignment procedures, lubrication activities, and component replacement on rotating equipment.
- Repair and replace bearings, seals, couplings, belts, shafts, chains, and gear assemblies.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, piping diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Operate diagnostic equipment, precision measuring instruments, torque tools, and hydraulic test benches.
Hydraulic System Support
- Troubleshoot hydraulic pressure issues, flow restrictions, contamination problems, leaks, and component failures.
- Assemble and test hydraulic power units and fluid transfer systems.
- Perform hose/fitting installation, and system pressure testing.
- Maintain cleanliness standards for hydraulic assembly and repair operations.
- Assist with commissioning and startup of hydraulic systems and industrial/mobile equipment.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, confined space requirements, and hazard mitigation practices.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with housekeeping and safety expectations.
- Document maintenance activities, repair records, inspections, and parts usage accurately.
- Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Journeyman Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of industrial mechanical or hydraulic repair experience preferred.
- Experience working in hydraulic repair facilities, industrial plants, mines, manufacturing environments, or heavy equipment maintenance operations preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to safely use rigging, lifting, and precision measurement equipment.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb, and work in industrial environments for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial conditions.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment.
Work Environment
This position operates within a hydraulic distribution and repair facility with exposure to:
