Overview

A growing commercial general contractor is seeking a Project Manager to oversee projects across retail, office, industrial, and tenant improvement sectors.

This is a high-performing, close-knit team with a strong pipeline of secured work and a reputation for delivering quality projects. The environment is hands-on and collaborative, offering the opportunity to make a visible impact while working closely with leadership in a lean organization.

The Role

The Project Manager will take ownership of projects from pre-construction through closeout, managing both the technical and client-facing aspects of delivery.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable balancing project execution, financial management, and stakeholder coordination. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion
• Develop and maintain project schedules (Microsoft Project preferred)
• Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and overall document control
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and clients
• Lead and participate in OAC meetings
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Support business development efforts and contribute to securing new work

Requirements

• Experience working as a Project Manager with a general contractor
• Strong background in commercial construction, particularly tenant improvement (TI) projects
• Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Project
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to take ownership from day one

Nice to Have

• Experience working in smaller, growth-oriented construction teams
• Exposure to a variety of commercial project types (retail, office, industrial)
