In Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Effectors Center we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work together with our customers.

The Systems Integration and Test (SIT) Advanced Technology (AT) Department in the Effectors Center is seeking a Guidance Section SIT Build and Test Lead for a Program in the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons Sub-Strategic Business Unit under the AT SBU.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for performing integration and testing of the system under test.

  • Perform data collection activities, including review and assessment of data elements, and provide detailed reports of results

  • Create and/or modify documentation of reviews associated with formal testing, which include Test Readiness Review (TRR), Consent to Ship (CTS), and Test Data Review (TDR) packages.

  • Lead field testing at military bases.

  • Prepare and present technical data to Stakeholders and Customer community

  • Travel around 50% of the time

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.

  • Experience in laboratory environment.

  • Leadership experience.

  • Experience coordinating across multiple disciplines within engineering.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working with and managing requirements.

  • Experience with data packages and variances.

  • Experience with test equipment and/or test environments.

  • Proficiency in risk management, including identifying, tracking, and mitigating risks.

  • Experience with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS).

  • Experience in collecting and evaluating data to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

  • Experience with CAMEO

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
