The Role

The Maintenance Technician will support Mesa site maintenance programs, including preventative, predictive, and corrective work to ensure proper system operations. This individual will support facility-wide industrial piping/mechanical systems by providing advanced troubleshooting and problem solving in field applications. This individual will have a strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and basic knowledge of electrical. The ability to work on simple task to a complex system.

Job Description

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Work in a safe manner and in compliance with safety, environmental, and maintenance policies and procedures.
• Maintain and repair machinery used in chemical processes, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair:
  • Process piping, mechanical equipment, centrifugal and diaphragm pumps used for process and lab operations at the Mesa site.
  • Industrial fixed, rotating, and mechanical equipment such as pumps, piping, valves, motors, fans.
  • Assist with chillers, boilers, and heat exchangers.
  • Basic Instrumentation, controls and electrical.
• Follow maintenance protocols and procedures when working on any equipment.
• Experience with CMMS to identify equipment issues, obtain parts, document findings, track labor hours, capture repair history, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and inspections.
• Basic knowledge of electrical.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and excellent workmanship.
• Support and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety and quality department programs and requirements.
• Perform other duties, as requested.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or equivalent preferred.
• Journeyman level experience in plumbing, process piping, or mechanical equipment.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of centrifugal/diaphragm pumps, lined piping, PFA/Kynar piping.
• Familiarity with function of heat exchangers and pneumatic-operated valves.
• General knowledge of SAP working platform preferred.
• Strong computer skills (MS Excel/Word, Google Mail/Drive, etc.) required.
• Detail oriented individual, able to manage multiple tasks with input from various individuals in the maintenance and engineering department.
• Must have a valid Arizona drivers' license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to push up to 110 pounds.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.
• Willingness to work standard 12-hour shift schedule, including regular weekend schedules (alternating weekends).
