The Role

The UPW Maintenance Technician's primary responsibilities will focus on the maintenance of our Mesa, AZ facility water systems, including DI Water, Reverse Osmosis, Softener Water, Filtration Systems, Chilled Water, Cooling Tower Water, Overall Water Distribution, and Fire Water systems. This role will also be responsible for all instruments and mechanical equipment related to these systems.

Job Description

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Maximize maintenance, repair, and operations efficiency to enable advancement of the business to support changing and growing customer needs.
• Contribute to the process improvement, creation of applicable procedures and controls within the Water Distribution Systems. Ensure compliance with current procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Provide updates on new findings or relevant changes in our water systems and promptly communicates with department leaders to ensure a fast response.
• Maintain compliance with EHS Guidelines in the workplace and support the team to follow all safe work practices.
• Maintain compliance with Quality System Guidelines for customer requirements and to Support Quality Audits.
• Others as designated by direct supervisor or management team.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma with 10+ years of continuous industrial / manufacturing water systems experience required. Associate degree with 5+ years of industrial / manufacturing water system experienced is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to complete water projects with minimal supervision.
• Displays a strong personal commitment and excels in building trust, consistency, and loyalty within the company
• Knowledge of Water-related spare parts and inventory management is preferred.
• Demonstrated strong EHS compliance and Job Safety culture.
• Critical and analytical minded with sound decision making skills.
• Ability to work with all departments of the facility to ensure the transfer and retention of knowledge
• Water Treatment Certifications required
• Instrumentation Calibration and Electrical Certifications a preferred.
