FAA Assembly and Test Technician

We have an outstanding Contract position for an FAA Assembly and Test Technician to join a leading Company located in Tempe, AZ.

Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

**US Citizenship is required.**

This role supports FAA-regulated repair and assembly operations. The worker will perform teardown, repair, overhaul, modification, and assembly of mechanical units in accordance with manuals, CMMs, and written or verbal instructions. Candidates must be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of workingindependently with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a basic understanding of assembly and analytical processes, performing tasks with some supervision.
• Fully understand and independently execute the teardown process.
• Work independently while following work instructions and priority lists with minimal supervision.
• Utilize SAP to support work activities.
• Retrieve and execute work instructions from SharePoint, Teamcenter, and Technical Publications.
• Interpret work scope from customer purchase orders (POs).
• Perform visual and mechanical inspections to identify malfunction, damage, or wear.
• Disassemble, repair, overhaul, modify, and reassemble units per manuals, CMMs, service bulletins, and instructions.
• Review repair orders to understand the incomingunit condition and the reason for return.
• Collect and reference applicable documentation, including repair and assembly manuals, CMMs, and service bulletins.
• Clean units or components using approved methods as required.
• Perform bench checks and functional testing to verify repairs are complete.
• Complete all required documentation accurately.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Operate assigned equipment safely and effectively.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Record, report, analyze, and interpret data.
• Perform product changeovers and make appropriate process corrections.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of mechanical Assembly experience or trade school equivalent.
• Proficiency in disassembly and cleaning of mechanical components.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to show proof of U.S. Citizenship

Desired Qualifications:

• Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification.
• Aerospace industry mechanical experience.
• Experience with SAP.
• Ability to retrieve and understand work instructions from SharePoint, Teamcenter, and Technical Publications.
• Understanding of customer purchase orders.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to identify key details and resolve issues.
• Creative problem-solving and idea generation.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and also work independently.
