School Psychologist
AB Staffing is looking for experienced School Psychologists for the upcoming 25/26 school year.
Psychologists needed throughout Arizona: Phoenix, Surprise, Glendale, Peoria, Litchfield, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, and more locations.
Job Description:
- Openings in Elementary, Middle, and High School - Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location.
- Contract through the school year - 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
- Contract follows the academic district calendar.
Pay:
- Up to $2,800/week DOE and location.
Qualifications:
- Graduate Degree (M.A., Ed.S., M.S. Ed., Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D.) in psychology, social work, or counseling.
- School Psychologist Certificate in the state of AZ.
- Must be able to obtain, and hold, a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Experience conducting psycho-educational evaluations; experience in school and/or pediatric setting(s) preferred.
- Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
Essential Functions:
- Provide evaluation, consultative, and counseling services in the school setting for initial psychological assessment and for reevaluation of children in special education programs.
- Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and lead the multidisciplinary team in the process of identifying students of intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities and emotional/behavioral disorders.
- Communicate psychological assessment results and recommendations both verbally and through written reports.
- Participate in eligibility and program decisions in meeting the needs of students with disabilities.
- Participate in and contribute to professional development activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
