Overview:
MJM Innovations, a Transit Technologies company, is seeking a Next Day Scheduler (Paratransit Scheduler) to support our Valley Metro paratransit operations. The Next Day Scheduler ensures all next-day trip requests are accurately entered, verified, and scheduled within ADA service guidelines. This position focuses on data accuracy, trip negotiation, and route optimization for the following service day.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accept and process next-day trip reservations from ADA-eligible passengers.
- Enter trip requests into the paratransit software system, ensuring accuracy of pickup/drop-off addresses, times, and rider information.
- Negotiate trip times within ADA service parameters to maximize efficiency.
- Verify eligibility, service area compliance, and fare or rider type for each trip.
- Build and optimize next-day schedules, ensuring balanced capacity across routes and contractors.
- Coordinate with dispatch, customer service, and management to finalize manifests.
- Communicate with passengers when scheduling adjustments are necessary.
- Manage subscription trips and recurring trip patterns accurately.
- Maintain up-to-date passenger records and ensure data integrity within the scheduling system.
- Contribute to daily operational reports or audits as requested.
Talent Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in paratransit or transportation scheduling preferred.
- Strong computer and data-entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret service maps, eligibility rules, and ADA paratransit regulations.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
- Dependable and team-oriented.
Schedule:
- Primarily daytime shifts; weekends or holidays may be required based on operational needs.
- This is a 100% onsite role
