Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Chandler, Arizona. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and supporting organizational goals. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounts payable and proficiency in accounting systems. Responsibilities: - Process and accurately code invoices within accounting software systems to ensure timely payments. - Manage vendor accounts, including reconciling statements and resolving discrepancies. - Utilize ERP systems to maintain organized and efficient financial records. - Perform detailed auditing of transactions to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. - Handle accrual accounting tasks to maintain accurate financial reporting. - Process Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and other electronic transactions. - Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounts payable functions and improve workflows. - Support financial services operations using tools such as ADP and Concur. - Generate reports and provide insights to assist in decision-making processes. - Monitor and ensure adherence to company policies regarding accounts payable procedures. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. - Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms. - Strong understanding of account coding and accrual accounting principles. - Experience with financial tools such as ADP, Concur, and other industry-standard systems. - Knowledge of auditing practices and regulatory compliance. - Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment processing. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing financial records. - Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
