Technical Writing Project Manager/Sr. Consultant

Description We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this long-term (Part time, 5-10 hours/ week) contract position, you will play a critical role in overseeing project execution, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring deliverables meet high-quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in technical project management and vendor engagement. Responsibilities: - Partner with internal teams to define project objectives, technical specifications, and desired outcomes. - Provide expert advice on organizational structure, content creation, and best practices to optimize project documentation. - Draft, review, and refine project documents to ensure they are complete, clear, and adhere to industry standards. - Identify and address potential risks or gaps in project documentation based on prior experience. - Develop and implement vendor evaluation criteria and scoring methods to streamline proposal assessments. - Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and progress. - Monitor project timelines and milestones to ensure timely delivery of objectives. - Collaborate with technical writers and other team members to produce high-quality documentation. - Utilize tools such as Jira to track project tasks and maintain transparency. - Provide strategic input to enhance project outcomes with minimal supervision. Requirements - Proven track record as a Project Manager in software development projects. - Extensive experience in creating and managing RFPs for technical initiatives. - Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum. - PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials. - Proficiency in using project management tools like Atlassian Jira. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with diverse teams. - Ability to work independently and provide actionable insights with minimal guidance. - Familiarity with vendor engagement processes and proposal evaluation techniques.
