We are seeking a highly experienced and driven **Senior DevOps Engineer** with 5-10 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation. This role involves managing day-to-day DevOps operations, building scalable CI/CD pipelines, and supporting modern cloud-native applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our systems.
**In this role, you will:**
· **CI/CD Automation:**
Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and GitHub Actions to streamline software delivery.
· **Infrastructure as Code (IaC):**
Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to provision and configure cloud resources.
· **Containerization & Orchestration:**
Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes (EKS or similar), following best practices for image optimization, security, and resource management.
· **Cloud Infrastructure Management:**
Provision, monitor, and optimize cloud resources on Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or other major cloud providers.
· **Monitoring & Logging:**
Set up and maintain observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and Splunk for centralized monitoring and log analysis.
· **Security & Compliance:**
Enforce security best practices across infrastructure and applications, including network security, access control, and compliance requirements.
· **Incident Management:**
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, resolving critical production issues efficiently.
· **Collaboration & Optimization:**
Work with development and operations teams to improve application performance, reliability, and deployment workflows.
· **Tooling & Innovation:**
Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance automation, scalability, and system resilience.
**Required Skills: What you need to be considered**
+ **5-10 years** of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering roles.
+ Strong scripting skills in **Python** , **Bash** , or **PowerShell** .
+ Experience with **Java** or **Python** for automation and tool development.
+ Deep understanding of **CI/CD pipelines** and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
+ Proficiency in **Docker** , **Kubernetes** , and container orchestration.
+ Hands-on experience with **Terraform** , **CloudFormation** , or **Ansible** .
+ Familiarity with **Kafka** client concepts (Producer/Consumer) and ability to install/configure **Kafka** on-prem and in **Confluent Cloud** .
+ Experience with **monitoring/logging tools** like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Splunk.
+ Strong understanding of **cloud security best practices** .
+ Excellent **problem-solving** , **communication** , and **collaboration** skills.
**Preferred skills: what will help you stand out**
+ Experience with **Google Anthos** .
+ Background in **Healthcare or Pharmacy** domains.
+ Familiarity with **Splunk-O Monitoring Tool** .

**Salary and Other Compensation:**
The annual salary for this position is between **$49,001 to $107,000** depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
