Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Roofing Estimator, you will play a critical role in developing accurate and comprehensive estimates for a variety of commercial roofing systems. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial roofing practices, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to strengthen client relationships.

• Estimate Preparation: Create detailed, accurate estimates including labor, materials, equipment, site visits, and overhead costs.

• System Expertise: Demonstrate deep knowledge of commercial roofing systems (built-up, modified bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC) and manufacturers.

• Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with national clients while delivering excellent customer service.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all estimates meet industry standards and best practices.

• Safety Compliance: Reflect safety regulations and safe-work practices in all project estimates.

• Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and advancements in roofing systems.

• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing learning to stay ahead in the industry.

• Collaboration: Partner with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to meet project requirements.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing estimating with a proven client-facing track record (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

• Strong understanding of commercial/industrial roofing system design, installation codes, manufacturer warranty requirements, and industry standards.

• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to produce precise, competitive estimates.

• Experience with database estimating software (Estimating Edge "The Edge" preferred).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

• Motivated self-starter with a professional demeanor.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey instructions clearly.

• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
