Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. If you have a passion for working with heavy machinery and a knack for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, this is the perfect opportunity for you. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment, including refrigeration (reefer) systems when applicable.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they become major issues.
• Replace or repair defective parts, components, and systems as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.
• Familiarity with refrigeration (reefer) units and systems is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
