Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems within Honeywell Aerospace. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will have ownership for systems at every aspect of the systems lifecycle, from the front end of business development through product end of life. You will work across disciplines within the Engines and Power Systems business to drive growth and reach critical business milestones. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, qualification, and support of propulsion turbine engine control systems and associated development equipment. These complex systems will serve as part of full authority digital engine control (FADEC) systems especially the Electronic Control Unit. In your role, you will serve as a technical focal point, and a mentor to other engineers. The propulsion control systems organization will rely on you to ensure the ECU and associated systems meet the needs of internal and external customers. ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Systems integration and architecture development
- Effective coordination and communication with:
- Multi-disciplinary design teams
- Systems engineering teams
- Project management organizations
- Internal and external customers
- Technical oversight of:
- Control system integration
- Test and development equipment
- Digital transformation of electronic sub-systems
- Engineering upgrade of engine hardware and digital engine controllers
- Ownership and leading of field Issue troubleshooting and support activities
- Project engineering
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
- 5 or more years of engineering experience
- Background in electrical engineering, electronic design, and circuit analysis
- Background in electrical test equipment and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of the product development lifecycle
- Individuals that quickly analyze and apply new information and concepts
- Individuals who are self-motivated, able to work with little supervision, and who consistently take the initiative to get things done
- Ability to adapt, dictated by project changes
- Multi-tasking and having the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks and customers
- Making autonomous decisions
