Where You Will Work 

Located in southeastern Arizona, close to more than 4 million acres of national forest, employees and their families can connect with the great outdoors while fishing, rafting, hiking and more. Several educational institutions also are nearby, including a Northern Arizona University satellite campus, Eastern Arizona College, and the Gila Institute for Technology.   

What You Will Do

• Perform routine and non-routine chemical and/or metallurgical analytical tasks at assigned site.
• May collect samples which could include collection from rail cars or trucks in some locations
• Prepare samples for analysis using established tests and techniques.
• Assists with/performs routine chemical and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting.
• Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
• Perform other duties as required

What You Bring To Freeport

• Demonstrated knowledge of math, chemistry and/or computer skills appropriate to the assignment
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Experience with mathematic and/or numbers based tasks
• Experience with chemical sample preparation and/or analysis
• Ability to follow detailed, technical instructions
• Experience with tedious or repetitive motions or tasks
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Strong proficiency using MS Excel to develop and maintain spreadsheets reports, and other documentation

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $20.50 - $28.00/hour . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
