Physician (Primary Care) Kingman - AZ CBOC EDRP (Kingman)

Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Applicants must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit their EDRP application within four months of appointment. The award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the application. Former EDRP participants are ineligible to apply.

Qualifications

To qualify, applicants must meet the basic requirements and any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Pending completion of training or licensing may be considered for referral and tentative selection but not for employment until all requirements are satisfied. VA physicians previously employed and meeting initial appointment standards are deemed to meet the basic requirements.

Basic Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens only if recruitment of qualified citizens is not possible
• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an approved school
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.
• Completed residency training approved by the VA or equivalent
• Enrolled residents in accredited programs may be appointed as Physician Resident Providers (PRPs) under specific conditions
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Physical requirements include visual acuity, hearing, speech, manual dexterity, and ability to perform physical tasks

Duties

• Provide primary care within the VA Northern Arizona VAMC and associated clinics
• Serve as a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) Primary Care Provider
• Participate in the EDRP and other incentives as applicable
• Work as part of multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care
• Manage patient panels, provide health education, and coordinate care transitions
• Perform assessments, order tests, interpret results, and refer to specialists as needed
• Conduct women's health exams and counseling
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
