Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, and heat pumps
• Install HVAC equipment and ductwork according to code and project specifications
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficiency and reliability
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues in both HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Ice machines (cube, flake, nugget)
• Soft serve and hard ice cream machines
• Frozen beverage machines and commercial blenders
• Walk-in coolers, freezers, and refrigerated prep tables
• Undercounter units and refrigerated display cases
• Handle refrigerants safely and in compliance with EPA regulations, including charging and recovery
• Accurately document service work, diagnostics, and parts used on all jobs
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients about repairs, options, and equipment status
• Respond to emergency service calls and after-hours issues as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and ensure proper care of tools and equipment
• Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and industry codes

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with equipment repair techniques and property maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics related to HVAC design.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a van for field service work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Certification in HVAC or relevant technical training is preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HVAC technology.
