Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Ob/Gyn
Description
This contract position requires an on-site commitment and offers an opportunity to deliver high-quality care in a supportive environment.
As a Locum Ob/Gyn, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. You will be responsible for managing a range of obstetric and gynecological conditions, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional service. This role not only contributes significantly to patient outcomes but also supports our mission of maintaining a standard of excellence in medical practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients
- Conduct examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Perform obstetric and gynecological procedures as needed
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure patient confidentiality and ethical medical practices
- Stay updated on the latest developments in obstetrics and gynecology
- Educate patients on health and wellness practices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical program
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Strong background in obstetrics and gynecology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care and safety
- Adept at handling medical emergencies and critical situations
- Prior experience in a clinical setting is a plus
Schedule: 5x 8-hour shifts per week
Beeper call available
Annual Volume: ~700 deliveries
Daily Volume: 20-25 patients
Team Structure: 2 MDs, 1 NP
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
